The Wizard has fled Oz — but the past isn’t done with him.
Drifting over the Deadly Desert in a failing balloon, Oscar Diggs begins recording the one story he never dared tell: the truth about his secret war with the Wicked Witch of the West, the lies that built his rule, and the moment everything came crashing down.
As the magic of Oz slips further behind him, the Wizard relives the choices that shaped a kingdom: the downfall of Pastoria, the disappearance of Ozma, and the terrible bargain that put him on the throne.
What begins as a confession becomes a reckoning — and the final word on how the Great and Terrible Wizard truly fell.
